Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that the central government is working to arrest Chief Minister Atishi. In his latest claim right before the Delhi assembly polls, Kejriwal has stated that the BJP-led government will take action against AAP and its members by "making a fake case".

Taking to social media platform X, the former Delhi CM said - "These people are badly upset by the Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana. They have planned to arrest Atishi ji in the next few days by making a fake case Before that, raids will be conducted on senior AAP leaders."

In a press conference on Wednesdya, AAP supremeo Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that the centre is planning to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Atishi in a fake case related to the free bus rides for women scheme.

Speaking to reporters, the AAP leader said -"As per sources, recently there was a meeting between CBI, ED & I-T and they have been asked to arrest CM Atishi by fabricating any false case against the CM."

Delhi CM Atishi has alos backed the claim and said that Kejriwal has shared credible info.

"Arvind ji has said we have credible information that to stop free bus service for women in Delhi, an attempt is being made (by BJP) to impose a fake case on me....Even if they arrest me, I have faith in the legal system and the Constitution that despite their false cases on me, I will get bail," said Atishi.

Ahead of the Delhi Polls 2025, the incumbent AAP government has announced a variety of schemes, especially for women and senior citizens acorss the capital.

As part of its election promise, the AAP government introduced the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana which offers eligible women over 18 financial aid of Rs 1,000 and has stated that the amount will be increased to Rs 2,100. However, the party has stated that the funds will be distributed after the elections.

The Bharatiya Janata Party, which swept Delhi in the Lok Sabha elections, has accused AAP of making empty poll promises and misleading the public.

"It's a scam because the cabinet has only approved Rs 1,000, which CM Atishi had announced in March before the Lok Sabha elections," said BJP MP from New Delhi Bansuri Swaraj.

The BJP-led centre has been accused of orchestrating fake cases to crack down on dissent and any opposition to their government. Kejriwal's claim of Atishi's arrest is also a throwback to the party's allegations to when Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate and Central Bureau of Investigation.711bet
