The fresh faces in Miami are hosting a vast variety of head-turning work. Then there’s the New Yorker Bonnie Lucas, who turns to an array of objects, from jewelry to Q-Tips, to create thought-provoking assemblages that comment on femininity.

Below is a preview of what four such galleries plan to showcase. They include Jan Kaps in Cologne, Germany; Tim Van Laere Gallery, with a base in Antwerp, Belgium and a location in Rome; ILY2, in Portland, Oregon; and Galerie Allen, in Paris.

The former independent curator Joseph Allen Shea and the Australian artist Mel O’Callaghan founded their Paris gallery in 2013 to promote international artists of all ages; Art Basel Miami Beach marks their first foray into a major art fair in the United States.
