The Sudip Kumar Gharami-led Bengal team played their opening match with dominance, defeating Delhi by 6 wickets. Bengal first restricted Delhi to 272/7 and then chased down the target in just 41.3 overs with the help of Abhishek Poral's brilliant 170 runs off 130 balls, along with Mukesh Kumar's four-wicket haul.

Tripura, on the other hand, started their campaign on a disappointing note, losing their opening match to Baroda by 92 runs. However, the Mandeep Singh-led team quickly bounced back, securing a 5-wicket victory over Bihar with 10 balls to spare in their second game.
