The highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, “Hello, Love, Again,” is making a highly anticipated return to Los Angeles as part of Manila International Film Festival 2025.

This time, along with other top Filipino films, the record-breaking sequel is set to light up Hollywood once again. 

Following its strong reception in previous festivals, “Hello, Love, Again,” starring Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo and Kapuso actor Alden Richards, will take center stage at the TCL Chinese Theatre, nestled in the heart of Hollywood.

The festival, running from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, 2025, is part of MIFF’s commitment to showcasing the best of Filipino storytelling and talent to an international audience. 

Alongside “Hello, Love, Again,” the MIFF program includes 10 entries from the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), recent award-winning films and a curated selection of groundbreaking Filipino projects.

These include Jun Robles Lana’s “And the Breadwinner Is…” (Comedy), Chito S. Roño’s “Espantaho” (Horror), Zig Dulay’s “Green Bones” (Drama), Jason Paul Laxamana’s “Hold Me Close” (Romance, Fantasy), Pepe Diokno’s “Isang Himala” (Musical), Crisanto B. Aquino’s “My Future You” (Romantic Comedy), Kerwin Go’s “Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Hospital Killer” (Horror), Michael Tuviera’s “The Kingdom” (Action, Adventure), Richard Somes’ “Topakk” (Action) and Dan Villegas’ “Uninvited” (Crime Thriller).

Complementing these entries are special screenings of historic and groundbreaking works such as “Genghis Khan” and the world premiere of  the drama-musical, “Song of the Fireflies,” from the team behind “Ang Larawan,” the acclaimed film adaptation of the stage musical based on Nick Joaquin’s “Portrait of the Artist as Filipino.”

MIFF will also screen “Love Hurts,” the Hollywood feature directed by Fil-Am Jonathan Eusebio and starring Oscar and Golden Globe winners Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose.

“Experience the heart, soul, and stories of the Philippines like never before! Join us for an unforgettable celebration of Philippine cinema, featuring 15 groundbreaking films that highlight the artistry of Filipino filmmakers,” MIFF organizers wrote in an Instagram post. 

The study estimated that the region could produce about 45.7 million metric tons of SAF per year by 2050, coinciding with the year when the commercial aviation industry targets to achieve its “net-zero” emission goal.

Beyond the silver screen, MIFF will feature a gala at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, where stars, filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts will gather to honor the global artistry of Philippine filmmaking.
