As a result, the US government can reduce errors and boost productivity.

The company said Wednesday that power rates this month went up by P0.1543 per kilowatt hour (kWh), pushing the overall rate to P11.7882 per kWh against the P11.6339 per kWh imposed in August.

Meanwhile, the yen hit its highest level in nine months after a Bank of Japan official said decision-makers would stick to their tightening plan if the economy and inflation perform as expected.

Wired obtained an audio of GSA’s Technology Transformation Services (TTS) head Thomas Shedd elaborating on the AI bot.

US President Donald Trump appointed him days after his inauguration.

He emphasized his goal of implementing artificial intelligence and automation throughout the US government.

Shedd claimed the AI project was underway “before we started.”

“The thing that’s different is potentially building that whole in-house and building it very quickly,” he mentioned in the audio.

“This goes back to this, ‘how do we understand how the government is spending money?’”

The US government has been ramping up national AI development due to China’s growing tech influence.

A week ago, China shook the tech industry with its DeepSeek AI chatbot.

Its namesake parent firm allegedly built the tool with only $5.6 million, which pales in comparison to the billions that Western companies spent.

DeepSeek is also an open-source tool that rivals the performance of more popular AI bots like ChatGPT.

More importantly, it sends data to the Chinese government, threatening the data privacy of numerous countries.
